CHVBC is excited to welcome Kristen (Forristall) Rott as a technical advisor specializing in Middle Hitters and also as a recruiting coordinator for the 2012-2013 season. She brings 8 years of experience with collegiate athletics to the club. Her experience spans a wide range including former D1 athlete in both basketball and volleyball, Division 1 coaching and administrative support.
As a prep for Oregon City High School, Kristen began playing volleyball and lead her team to the state tournament in her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior seasons. She also played basketball for the school, taking her team to four state championships. In her senior year, she was named Oregon’s Gatorade State Basketball Player of the Year and honored as a McDonald’s All-American.
CHVBC had a strong showing at the 2012 Moorestown Volleyball Tournament. Sterling High School won the tournament with CHVBC’s Emily Kriebel taking home MVP honors for the champs.
Jess Booth and Tori DeBerardinis also picked up All-Tournament honors for the host school, Moorestown. Congrats to all of our CHVBC players for a job well done!
The Sterling Silver Knights powered their way to the first Sectional Championship and Group II State Final appearance in the history of the school. CHVBC was represented in the state final by freshman Emily Kriebel and seniors Katie Johnson and Crystal Levonchuck. Congratulations to Sterling for their outstanding season!
CHVBC’s Shaniece Simpkins was awarded All-Tournament honors at the 2011 West Windsor South Volleyball Tournament. Shaniece played outside hitter for Cherry Hill East and provided strong hitting for the Cougars over the course of the day.
The Cherry Hill East team made it all the way to the finals while featuring six CHVBC players including Simpkins, Nancy Brown, Melissa Romano, Natalie Roy, Paige Smith and Shiri Lasman. Congratulations to all of the CHVBC players participating in the tournament and good luck to everyone heading into the State Playoffs!
Jess Booth and Sherron Howard were honored as All-Tournament selections in the 2011 Moorestown Volleyball Tournament. Jess represented Moorestown HS as an outside hitter while Sherron lined up on the right side for Cinnaminson HS.
Sterling High School won the tournament with a lineup that featured three CHVBC players: Katie Johnson, Crystal Levonchuck, and Emily Kriebel. Congratulations to Sterling High School and good luck to all of the CHVBC players for the rest of the high school season.
17U Black “Team Chaos” (pictured here with club director Jeff Mooney) brought home the first division championship in the history of CHVBC at the MLK Tournament in Lancaster, PA. With two players out due to injury, the team was forced to go wire-to-wire with only seven players, playing NINE matches over the three day tournament.
CHVBC held its second free volleyball clinic of the year on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. Players from six different schools attended with NINE players representing Horace Mann! Players received instruction from current Cherry Hill East Cougars Jamie DiVito, Emily Kelly and Benaiah Hand. The CHVBC coaching staff was also on hand to teach the game, including former All-State players Karen Martin, Carolyn Mooney and Jeff Mooney.
