Arisha De Jesus was named “Best Receiver” at the 2018 Capitol Classic for the 16 Club Division! Arisha was chosen for the award out of the 64 teams and over 700 players competing in her division. Congratulations on a great tournament! We’re all very proud of you!

CHVBC 17 Black finished a strong weekend with a 3rd place finish in Washington, DC at the 2018 Capitol Classic. The team started strong on Day 1, posting wins over TEVA and Valley Jrs. On Day 2, they won an additional two matches over SERV and Eclipse to earn their berth in the Gold Bracket.
On elimination day, Heat outlasted SYAVBC with a 16-14 victory in the 3rd set in the first round. They cruised to a 2-set win over MB Volleyball in the quarterfinals to earn a spot in the semifinals and a bronze medal for their efforts.
Heat’s club counterparts, CHVBC 17 Intensity, also made a Gold Bracket appearance, finishing in 9th place. The team followed up a 2-1 record on Day 1 by sweeping Day 2 with wins over LIVBC, BEVBC and Champion Volleyball. Congratulations to both CHVBC 17s teams on a great weekend of volleyball!
In their first GEVA Tournament of the season, CHVBC 16 Rampage took home first place without dropping a set! The team started off 3-0 in pool play with wins over EVA Navy, ECC North Coral and OCVBC. They squared off against EVA Gold in the semi-final, winning in two sets 25-15, 25-8. That set up another All-CHVBC showdown in the final where they took home gold with a 2-0 win over CHVBC 16 Honey Badgers.
On the other side of the bracket, the Honey Badgers went undefeated in pool play. The team posted straight set wins over EVA Gold and OCVBC and won a tightly contested 3-set victory over Warren 25-17, 26-28, 15-12. In the semis, they beat EVA Navy 2-0 to set up the intra-club matchup with Rampage. Great play by both teams!
Picking up where they left off last year, the CHVBC 13 Chargers made the final match in their first GEVA tournament of the year! The team built on their success at the MLK Tournament, serving and hitting at a high level. After sweeping pool play, they came out on top in both playoff games to finish a perfect 6-0 on the day and take home gold! #FirstPlaceFierceFace
In the other pool, CHVBC 13 Servivors picked up two wins and displayed great passing and defense. Congrats to both teams on a great day of volleyball!
Another tournament, another All-CHVBC final! This time, CHVBC 17 Intensity topped their club counterparts in three tightly contested sets to win gold!
The team avenged an MLK loss to Conquest VBC and also picked up wins against Staten Island and Viper NY to go a perfect 3-0 in pool play. On the other side of the bracket, CHVBC 17 Black was undefeated with wins over Quandomania, ECC, Alpha Gamma and Conquest to set up the intra-club final. Great play from all of our girls!
CHVBC 15 Dynamite swept EVA 15 Gold in the finals 25-21, 25-10 to take home 1st place and finish a perfect 5-0 on the day! Dynamite did not drop a set en route the championship match with wins over Quandomania, CJVA 15 Red and CHVBC 15 Phantoms.
All three CHVBC teams made it out of pool play into the championship bracket. CHVBC 15 Tsunami posted wins over Viper Sports NYC and CJVA 15 Ice while CHVBC 15 Phantoms pulled out a pair of 3-set victories over Quandomania 15s and CJVA 15 Red. Great work from all three teams!
It was an All-CHVBC final as CHVBC 14 Storm faced off against CHVBC 14 Thunder in the Gold Bracket finals! Storm pulled out a 26-24 nail-biter in the first set and finished with a 25-20 victory in the second set to seal first place.
Storm finished a perfect 10-0 in pool play, posting wins over EVA, CHVBC Thunder and three CJVA teams. Thunder met them in the finals after going 7-3 in pool play and taking the semi-final match 25-19 over CJVA 15 Fire. Congratulations to both teams on a great day of volleyball!
CHVBC’s Maya Dingle signed with Division 1 Howard University on Tuesday at Rancocas Valley High School! She is the first player from Rancocas Valley to play Division 1 volleyball. Congratulations to Maya on this great accomplishment!

CHVBC 17 Storm finished a perfect 5-0 at the 2017 GEVA Club Regional Championships finishing 1st in the region! The team held the #1 ranking in the club division for the entire season and finished 14-1 in GEVA play. Congratulations to Coach John Grossman and the team on a great season!
CHVBC 12 Minions are the first team in South Jersey history to qualify for USA Nationals!!! The team will travel to Minneapolis, MN at the end of June to compete with the best teams in the country.
The Mighty Minions entered the Regional Bid Tournament as the #4 overall seed in the region. The team had a strong morning and went 2-1 in pool play to advance to the playoffs. Their 2-0 semifinal win over VB Rags put them in the gold medal match and sealed their bid to USA Nationals. We are so proud of the team and Coach Robin on this tremendous accomplishment. Congratulations on making history!
