CHVBC is excited to welcome Kristen (Forristall) Rott as a technical advisor specializing in Middle Hitters and also as a recruiting coordinator for the 2012-2013 season. She brings 8 years of experience with collegiate athletics to the club. Her experience spans a wide range including former D1 athlete in both basketball and volleyball, Division 1 coaching and administrative support.
As a prep for Oregon City High School, Kristen began playing volleyball and lead her team to the state tournament in her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior seasons. She also played basketball for the school, taking her team to four state championships. In her senior year, she was named Oregon’s Gatorade State Basketball Player of the Year and honored as a McDonald’s All-American.
17U Black “Team Chaos” (pictured here with club director Jeff Mooney) brought home the first division championship in the history of CHVBC at the MLK Tournament in Lancaster, PA. With two players out due to injury, the team was forced to go wire-to-wire with only seven players, playing NINE matches over the three day tournament.
Thank you to everyone who joined us this weekend at the CHVBC tryout. Our coaching staff was very impressed by the level of play and we think we are going to have three strong teams in 2011. We have currently extended invitations for our teams and are awaiting responses from the players. If any additional positions become available, we will contact everyone on our tryout registration list. You can add yourself to the list here:
