The CHVBC 13s took home a first place finish at the Jersey Surfside Festival in Atlantic City!
The Ninjas earned a spot in the Gold Bracket with a 2-1 record on Day 1, their only loss coming in 3 sets against Delaware Juniors. The team came out strong on Day 2 with wins over NYC Juniors and CJ Heat, setting up a rematch against Delaware Juniors in the Gold Medal Final. This time, the Ninjas came out on top with a 3-set win for Gold!
CHVBC brought all 11 teams to DC for the Capitol Classic on President’s Day Weekend. Facing tough competition, the 17s once again represented to the club with a pair of Gold Bracket finishes! 17s Inferno finished 5th overall out a field of 72 teams. 17s Panthers also advanced to the Gold Bracket finishing 9th overall.
CHVBC 15 White excelled at 15s finishing in Silver at 23rd out of 120 teams!
CHVBC 17s lead the way at MLK with both teams finishing in the Gold Bracket. CHVBC 17 Inferno finished 5th overall while the CHVBC 17 Panthers finished in 9th place.
Inferno powered to a 5-1 record in pool play dropping only 2 sets in the first two days to make it to the Gold Bracket. Panthers came out on top of a 3-way tie on Day 1 and posted two more matches wins on Day 2 to secure their berth in Gold.
Two members of the CHVBC 12U team were selected for USA Volleyball’s High Performance Program!!! Myla Owens and Abby Carian both received invitations to join the top 192 players in their age group nationally in the Future Select program.
Myla will be attending HP camp in Las Vegas, Nevada and Abby will attend HP camp in Grand Rapids, Michigan. CHVBC 15U setter, Megan O’Rourke, was selected as an alternate in her age group.
Congratulations to all of the girls who tried out for the HP teams! We’re very proud of you. Keep working hard!
2014 was an amazing season for CHVBC…
CHVBC wrapped up it’s season at the AAU Grand Prix in Lancaster, PA. The teams had a quick turnaround from NEQ, but performed well again, picking up wins against competition from all over the Northeast. Congrats to all of our teams on a GREAT season! Here is a recap of each team’s performance:
NEQ lived up to its reputation for being the toughest tournament of our season. CHVBC squared off against national competition from California, Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio and many others. We responded with some of our best play of the season and our first NEQ Gold Bracket in club history! Here is a recap of all of our teams:
