CHVBC 13 Lions Finish 2nd at Regionals

CHVBC 13 Lions played a fantastic day of volleyball, making it all the way to the Gold Medal match in their final tournament of the season!

Ranked #4 in the region going into the tournament, the Lions went 2-1 in pool play and advanced to the playoffs.  In the semifinal, they upset the #2 seed in the tournament, LI Hurricanes to make it to the final match.  Congratulations to the team and Coach Maile Munro on a great season!

CHVBC 15 Ammunition Win Club Regionals 

CHVBC 15 Ammunition capped a strong season with the 2017 GEVA Club Regional Championship!  The team advanced to the playoffs with a perfect 3-0 record, surviving three challenging matches in pool play.  In the playoffs,  Ammunition found their groove and posted a 2-0 win (25-16, 25-14) over ECC 15 South in the Semifinal.

The victory set up the gold medal match against CALI 15 Blue.  Ammunition came out strong from the start and posted a 25-16 victory in Set 1.  The team continued to fire on all cylinders and clinched the championship with a commanding 25-10 victory in the final set!

Congratulations to Coach Kevin Rivas and his team on a great day of volleyball!

CHVBC 12 Minions Win Silver

In their first 12U tournament of the season, the CHVBC 12 Minions advanced all the way to the final match, winning silver!

Lead by Coach Carolyn Mooney, the team continued to focus on serving tough and generating attacks on offense. The Minions cruised through pool play with a 4-0 record and swept the semifinal to reach the gold medal match. Congratulations on a great tournament!

CHVBC 18 Allegiant #1 in Atlantic City

CHVBC 18 Allegiant posted back to back victories over CEVA to take home 1st place at the Jersey Surfside tournament in Atlantic City! After dropping the first set 15-25, CHVBC bounced back in set 2 with a 25-20 win, setting up a deciding 3rd set. Down 7-8, the team went on an 8-4 run to upset CEVA, the #2 ranked team in the Chesapeake region!

The victory capped a strong showing in Atlantic City by CHVBC. Four additional teams made gold bracket appearances: 12 Minions, 13 Lions, 14 Inferno & 16 Warriors. Congratulations to all of our teams on a great weekend of volleyball!

CHVBC 17 Storm Win Gold

CHVBC 17 Storm won their second gold bracket of the season with a 2-0 victory over CHVBC 18 Allegiant! All four CHVBC teams advanced in pool play to meet in the playoffs. 18 Mystics posted wins over OCVBC and NJVBC while 17 Vipers finished with match wins over Creole and Warren 6-Pack.  17 Storm and 18 Allegiant went undefeated in their respective pools.

That set up an All-CHVBC semifinal with the CHVBC 17s and CHVBC 18s squaring off in their respective semifinal matches. 17 Storm and 18 Allegiant came out on top  setting up the final match. Great day of volleyball from all of our teams!

CHVBC 15 Ammunition Win Gold

CHVBC 15 Ammunition went 5-0 on Saturday to finish in 1st place and win the Gold Bracket final 2-0 over ECC South!  The team did not drop a set in pool play while posting wins over Marlton, ECC North Black and CHVBC 15 Panthers.

CHVBC 15 Wildcats also made the Gold Bracket winning matches over High Line (PA) and ECC North White in pool play.  They dropped a tightly contested match to Ammunition in the Gold Bracket semifinals (22-25, 22-25) in a battle of CHVBC  teams.

CHVBC 15 Red also scored two wins on the day, defeating Marlton and ECC North White in three sets each.   Congrats to all of the girls for a great day of volleyball!

CHVBC 13 Lions Earn Silver in North Jersey

After a successful tournament MLK weekend, the CHVBC 13 Lions were back on the road for their first GEVA tournament of the year. Coach Maile Munro led the team to a 4-0 record in pool play and a spot in the Gold Bracket playoffs. The Lions advanced all the way to the Finals, finishing 2nd in the tournament and earning silver medals!

The CHVBC 12 Minions also joined the tournament, playing up an age group. The team posted 3 wins in pool play and also advanced to the playoffs. Great job by our Mighty Minions!

CHVBC 17 Storm Finish #1

CHVBC 17 Storm went undefeated Saturday and won Gold in their first single-day tournament of the year! After posting a perfect 3-0 record in pool play, Storm bested club teammates CHVBC 17 Vipers in the semifinals before beating Highline 17s in the finals.

Before facing off against Storm in the semifinals, CHVBC 17 Vipers posted wins over Quandomania and Aspire, advancing to the Gold Bracket playoffs. CHVBC went a combined 7-2 on the day. Congrats to all of our players on a great day of volleyball!

CHVBC Represents at Asics NEQ 2016

CHVBC brought 11 teams and over 100 players to the 2016 NEQ national qualifier in Philadelphia.  The teams faced tough competition from all over the country and responded with inspired play and FOUR bracket victories on the final day of competition.

Participating in the 12U, 13U & 14U divisions for the first time in club history, our youth teams posted six match wins and a bracket victory by the CHVBC 14 Panthers!  Our high school teams showed their experience, racking up 28 match wins and bracket victories for 15 Huskies, 16 Royals and 16 Riptide.  17 Arsenal made it all the way to the Silver Finals finishing 18th in their age group!  Congrats to all of our players and coaches on a great weekend!

CHVBC 16 Riptide Undefeated at White Open Power League #3

RipTide Open Power 3CHVBC 16 Riptide went a perfect 5-0 in Bethpage, NY, taking home 1st place in the GEVA Power League.  The team is now 9-1 in Power League play on the season and has won the last two Power League Tournaments.

On the other side of the bracket, CHVBC 16 Royals went 3-2 on the day and pulled out a 18-16 third set win in the consolation finals.  Congrats to both teams!
