Our club continued its successful season last weekend at the Capitol Classic in Washington, DC! Facing much stiffer competition, our teams responded with 3 bracket wins and showed significant improvement on both offense and defense. Here is a recap of all of our teams:

MLK 2014 was a huge success for CHVBC! From our 18s down to our youngest players at 10 years old, we showed confidence, courage and enthusiasm on the court.
After just one month of practice, our teams showed significant progress. I look forward to seeing us build on this foundation toward our club goal of steady improvement through hard work. Here is a recap of all of our teams:

Seven CHVBC players were honored with 1st and 2nd team selections. Another three earned honorable mention. Congratulations to the girls and their teammates on a great season of high school volleyball! Here are the 2013 honorees:
We are happy to announce that our 2013/14 tryouts will begin on Saturday, November 2nd for Grade 10 and Under players and continue on Monday, November 4th for Grade 11 & 12 players.

CHVBC is excited to welcome Kristen (Forristall) Rott as a technical advisor specializing in Middle Hitters and also as a recruiting coordinator for the 2012-2013 season. She brings 8 years of experience with collegiate athletics to the club. Her experience spans a wide range including former D1 athlete in both basketball and volleyball, Division 1 coaching and administrative support.
As a prep for Oregon City High School, Kristen began playing volleyball and lead her team to the state tournament in her Sophomore, Junior, and Senior seasons. She also played basketball for the school, taking her team to four state championships. In her senior year, she was named Oregon’s Gatorade State Basketball Player of the Year and honored as a McDonald’s All-American.
CHVBC had a strong showing at the 2012 Moorestown Volleyball Tournament. Sterling High School won the tournament with CHVBC’s Emily Kriebel taking home MVP honors for the champs.
Jess Booth and Tori DeBerardinis also picked up All-Tournament honors for the host school, Moorestown. Congrats to all of our CHVBC players for a job well done!
